Client/Patient Information

The AVC is committed to the health and wellbeing of our patients, client family, and team members as well as the communities we serve across central Illinois. As we all face the challenges associated with controlling the spread of COVID-19/SARS-CoV-2 in the area, we want to inform you of ways that you can help us continue to provide a high standard of care. By working together we hope to minimize the impact this virus will have on you and your pets.

1.) Plan ahead for your pet’s needs should you fall ill. It is recommended that you have 2-3 weeks worth of your pets food and medications on hand. In addition, have arrangements made for someone (neighbor, family member, etc) to care for your pet(s) in the event that you are unable to.

2.) You can access our online pharmacy, to have medications and food delivered to your house, by visiting our website (arthurvetclinic.com) and following the link. In addition, we can process payments over the phone ahead of time and email your receipts, thus minimizing your time in the clinic.

3.) If you feel sick, may have been exposed to someone who is, or if you are at increased risk please reschedule your pet’s appointment. You may call, text or email the office and we will gladly find you a new appointment time. There is never a charge for rescheduling!

4.) At this time we ask that only one adult accompany patients to office visits.

5.) In the event that you are ill or exposed and your pet needs medical attention we will still see your pet.

a.) Upon arrival, please remain in your car and call the clinic. We will then give you further instructions at that time.

b.) For farm calls, please have horses haltered and safely restrained prior to our arrival. We ask that you then avoid being in the immediate area. We will then keep you updated via phone or text message.

6.) Please be aware that the clinic has implemented a number of procedures for cleaning and disinfecting in order to insure a clean environment for everyone.

Please remember that your pet can not get ill from COVID-19 if they are in contact with an infected person. Pets, however, can carry the virus on them from an infected person. We are passionate about providing the best possible care to our patients and clients. The AVC asks you to join us in keeping the clinic and our team as germ-free as possible.
